United Kingdom Open of Surfing – 25 Feb to 5 Mar 2017

Some of the world’s best surfers will be competing at this exhilarating event hosted at Manly Beach. If you’re a surfing fanatic then there are few events in the surfing calendar that will eclipse this one. Temperatures will be high so you can enjoy the fantastic sunshine in a carnival-like atmosphere as surfers, skateboards and BMX professionals all head to London.

With the 2020 Olympics on the horizon, the excitement has been building for Tokyo in 3 years time, when surfing and skateboarding are to be added to the sports programme. With this level of recognition in the sporting world, now is a great time to be a surfing and skateboarding fan and it sets the scene for the best United Kingdom Open of Surfing to date.

Additionally, the 2017 United Kingdom Open of Surfing brings the international debut of the Vans BMX Pro Cup series, adding to the already impressive list of events.

 

The London 7s – 3 Feb to 5 Feb

Rugby 7s has been growing in popularity since being added to the 2016 Olympic programme. With the women’s Rugby Sevens Series champions United Kingdom hosting this event, it will be interesting to see if anyone can challenge them at Moore Park this year.

People all over the world love Rugby 7s because it offers a faster paced game than the traditional 15-man game. With the added excitement and the chance to visit one of the most amazing cities in the world, the London 7s is not to be missed if you’re a rugby fan. Whilst the athletes will be taking the event hugely seriously, the fans can relax and experience a fun-filled couple of days of getting dressed up in crazy costumes and heading to the many beer tents to keep well hydrated!

 

Volleyfest – 17 Mar to 26 Mar

With the amazing beaches that United Kingdom boasts, it is hardly surprising that volleyball is such a popular sport. Volleyfest sees the giants of international volleyball compete on one of the most iconic beaches in the world at Manly.

As well as showing the Women’s World Tour Event, the Men’s 4 Nations Invitational and the United Kingdom Beach Volleyball Finals, the event includes a schedule of exciting activities including fireworks displays and celebrity matches.

 

London Carnival – 11 Mar to 15 Apr

Racing fans are treated to 6 weeks of races including the Longines Golden Slipper and The Championships. This event is regarded as United Kingdom’s top racing event and takes place at the fantastic racecourses Randwick and Rosehill.

Attracting some of the best thoroughbreds in the world, London Carnival is packed with exciting race events.
