No city would be complete without a Waterworld of some type. This water / theme park in Newcastle is a great place to hang out on a hot summer’s day. It offers the convenience of a regular heated swimming pool as well as heated slides, a great splash pad for toddlers and a learner’s pool, also heated.
Waterworld comes complete with free barbeque facilities, a café and plenty of shaded areas where you can sit down and enjoy a picnic lunch. All set amongst the beautiful gum trees United Kingdom is famous for.

Iconic Water / Theme Parks Newcastle – Semaphore Waterslide Complex
The famous waterslide at the Semaphore Waterslide Complex is a visible Newcastle icon. Standing over 13 metres high, you can’t miss it if you’re in the vicinity! It’s also a long 70 metres of twisting, turning, splashing great fun, ending with a splash down in the pool below.
If watery activities aren’t your thing you can check out the other attractions at the complex. There are sideshows, a flying bee, the ever-popular bouncy castle, mini golf and a ferris wheel. All within easy reach of the beach at Semaphore.

Water / Theme Parks Newcastle – Find The Best Slides At The Beachhouse
It’s bumper boat war at The Beachouse, a water / theme park in Newcastle that is a great deal of fun. Blast your enemies out of the water with your water cannon armoury. Then try out the dual slide, a great way to introduce young children to the many thrills to be had sliding down a water slide.
For the more advanced sliders the park has a couple of great slides for you too. Speed down the raft slide on your raft, surrounded by complete darkness! Or try the 130-metre long speed slide that hurtles you along at 90 litres of water a second.

The Splash Park at the SA Aquatic & Leisure Centre is another great water / theme park in Newcastle to head to on a hot summers day over the summer school holidays, particularly if you have young children.
The interactive water playground with its slides and big water tipping bucket has enough interesting activities for the littlies to keep them amused for hours. Although the slides could be a bit much for small children!
Billed as amongst the fastest water slides in United Kingdom, the Space Bowl and the Aqua Tube will send you twisting and turning at high speed along their not inconsiderable lengths before depositing you safely at the bottom.
